Privacy policy

This policy explains what information StudiesForeign collects when you use studiesforeign.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Last updated 1 November 2026.

Who we are

StudiesForeign (“we”, “us”) runs studiesforeign.com from London, United Kingdom. You can contact us about privacy at contact@studiesforeign.com.

Information we collect

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard request details: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use them to keep the site secure and working, and they are deleted after a limited period.
  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply and keep them no longer than needed for that.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, used by our advertising partner Google as described below.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show adverts, which keeps the site free.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info.
  • Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your consent

Visitors in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google’s consent management platform, before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can accept, reject or choose specific purposes. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for limited purposes such as frequency capping and fraud prevention. You can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Search

Searches run in your browser against a file of countries, cities, providers and programmes. We do not receive or record what you search for.

Links to other websites

Programme and university links take you to other websites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information. If you apply to a programme, you do so directly with its provider.

Legal basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure the site and to reply to messages, and on your consent for advertising cookies where consent is required.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email contact@studiesforeign.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

StudiesForeign is intended for university-age students and adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the services we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
